A Review from Pastor Joshua Paynter

Transitions are difficult in life; such as work to retirement, family life to an empty nest, and perhaps the greatest difficulty in transitioning is from military service to civilian life.  The trust, the camaraderie, the friendships, made in service is very difficult to find outside of service.

The S.O.S organization represents a very pivotal and important part of bridging the gap of rebuilding that very trust that may not be seen or heard.  The S.O.S gives veterans and first responders a platform to reunite with others who understand and share the same values, experiences, and commitments.

As a pastor, I have seen first hand the change that S.O.S brings to service members and first responders.  One who may have lost hope and trust and who didn't believe there was anyone to trust and turn to.  But after just one meeting with the S.O.S, we saw lives changed.  Trust was regained, friendships were formed.  A bond that was once thought only achievable in service is now found with the S.O.S.

Thank you,

Pastor Joshua Paynter
